Sailing in Turkey

The Turkish coast has 4300 Nm of the Black Sea to the Mediterranean Sea. The Turkish coast offers sumptuous landscapes, such as the Gulf of Gokova, the Gulf of Gulluk or the bay of Kekova. From April to September is the best time to visit with the water temperatures between 18 and 26°C and the main sailing areas are Göcek, Marmaris and Bodrum.

A yacht lovers’ paradise, located in the heart of the Gulf of Fethiye, the small, compact town of Göcek is framed by mountains and, looking out onto the stunning Twelve Island area, is renowned as an excellent sailing area.

Close to some of the most perfect hidden coves and bays, and incredible blue, green and turquoise waters, Göcek is popular, but at the same time there is always a secluded hidden bay to unwind after a great day’s sailing or cruising.

Göcek

Set at the head of the Gulf of Fethiye amidst beautiful pine-clad mountains and only 30 minutes from the international airport at Dalaman, Göcek must be one of the Mediterranean’s best situated embarkation and disembarkation ports. Originally a small fishing village, it has grown into a sophisticated center for yachting and combines a wonderful traditional ambience with a modern marina, excellent restaurants, bars and good shopping.Originally a small fishing village, it has grown into a sophisticated center for yachting and combines a wonderful traditional ambience with a modern marina, excellent restaurants, bars and good shopping.
